Profile: The I Am Red Blend is a wine that has finished aging in Scotch Whiskey barrels. The barrels came direct from Scotland. 40% Merlot, 18% Malbec, 17% Petit Verdot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cab Franc and 5% Zinfandel. Tasting Notes: The Scotch barrel infusion process is similar to our Bourbon and Rye barrel-infused wines, but it adds a deep smokiness that lingers in the long, slow finish. In our winemaker's notes, she wrote: "Deep, dark, charred wood aromas that take me back to my Grandfathers desk, with his leather writing pad and humidor.
