Similar to our Double Gold Medal from 2016 this wine will definetly turn heads. Leading with a Cab Franc that is heady with violets, the inky dark color from Malbec with the tel-tale pyrazines from Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate delivers significant cinnamon spice, prunes, cassis, black pepper, blackberry, and even flinty graphite. Consider pairing it with a leaner steak, simple burger, or pasta with tomato sauce.

The grapes come from the Bacchus, Dionysus and Gamache Vineyards. This terroir is north-east side of the Columbia River - soft rolling knolls provide a warm site, not too hot or too cool with excellent air drainage in sandy loam soils.
